Over 130 New Photos and Special Exhibits Get Additions/Updates On I Photo Central

I Photo Central's dealers have been busy adding even more photographs to the largest such source for buying photographs on the Internet. Over 130 new items have been added in just the last month, which you can see here: http://www.iphotocentral.com/search/result_list.php/16/30/0 . Lots of top vintage and contemporary pieces are included in the many images added to the site.

The 19th-century works include: two stunning Gustave Le Gray's--one the magnificent seascape, Le Vapeur (The Tugboat), Normandy, and the other a Chalons encampment scene of top officers; a very rich print of a family grouping by Lewis Carroll; a group of salt prints of Florence by the Alinari Brothers; a unique salt print by Auguste Salzmann of Terracotta Statuettes excavated from Rhodes, the famed island off of Greece; a group of 12 scarce images of Italy by Pierre Petit; an image of the church of the Sepulchre, Jerusalem, by Robertson & Beato; an important salt print by Edouard Baldus of Periguex, France, with shadow of photographer and his camera; a very rich print of the Roman Forum by Altobelli and Moulins; a rare Cherbourg Seascape by Felix Jacques Moulin; a pair of historically important Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad views by Ebenezer Elijah Henry; as well as other daguerreotypes and paper images.

Important turn-of-the-century works include: two spectacular Paris views along the Seine by Eugene Atget--Quai de Bourbon and Quai d'Anjou (the latter with a well-positioned bicycle); an attractive group of over-sized carbon prints by Adophe Braun & Co. of Pompeii and London; a carbon photograph of Rodin and a friend by Russian photographer Pierre Choumoff; another carbon print of Madame Misonne in the Misonne House in Gilley, Belgium, by her husband, Leonard Misonne; and a dark printing-out-paper print by Constant Puyo of one of his favorite model's by gas light.

Top twentieth-century images include: an important group of iconic photos by Robert Doisneau--most vintage or early prints; an interesting group from lesser-known but important photojournalist, Jean-Philippe Charbonnier; top images by Willy Ronis, Sabine Weiss, Janine Niepce, Werner Bischof, Gérard Dussandier, Yvette Troispoux and Édouard Boubat; a 1952 image of artist Georges Braque by Gilles Erhmann; an atypical but beautiful New Mexico landscape with clouds by W. Eugene Smith; a WWII propaganda montage by Russian photographer Victor Borissovitch Koretsky; numerous nudes and figure studies by photographers, such as De Mirjian, Sautier, Auradon, Boubat, Yano, Walker, Fee and others; a store window still life by Lee Friedlander; Minor White's vintage print of "Light, Mud Pool, Capital Reef, UT"; Ken Josephson's 1967c vintage print of "Matthew"; Jerry Uelsmann's near vintage print of his important, "Apocalypse II"; and a group of early and vintage Joanne Leonard images.

Contemporary works added include: Marilyn Minter's "Crisco"; a large color Polaroid print by Starr Ockenga of Floating Heads with Hands and Flowers; Sam Taylor-Wood's "Beautiful Boy"; Robert Mapplethorpe's stunning photograph of Lydia Cheng (Torso, Female Nude); a platinum print of a male nude by McDermott & McGough; Cecily Brown's "Big Film Still"; Tina Barney's "The Puppy"; a colorful light jet print by William Eggleston; Stephen Shore's "NYC 3/25/03"; and Tracey Moffatt's large scale Guapa (Good Looking) #1 of female skaters.
