Bonhams will be the site for the Fifth Annual Classic Photographs LA fair, a two-day photography exhibition featuring 26 internationally-known dealers exhibiting 19th-, 20th- and 21st-century photography. After last year's success at this location, the exhibit space has been increased another third to accommodate bigger booths and even more dealers. It has become the second most important serious photography fair in the U.S.
Through their diverse inventories these gallerists, hailing from four countries and 13 states, including seven that will be participating at CPLA for the first time. Masterworks, contemporary works, and vernacular photographs will be on offer in a range of prices accessible to every collector. The Bonhams location is at 7601 W. Sunset Boulevard, six blocks east of Fairfax in West Hollywood.
Show hours are Saturday, January 18 from 11 am-7 pm; and Sunday, January 19 from 11 am-5 pm. Admission is $10 and open to the public. Ample free parking is available in two lots located directly behind Bonhams, as well as metered street parking. A special invitation-only opening reception is planned for Friday night, January 17.
