New Items Up On Iphotocentral.com Site

By Alex Novak

We had a small snafu a couple of weeks ago and many of the new (and even some of the older) items that we posted up to the website (and had announced by email) were not showing up. They are now and we have instituted a few more checks to make sure that the problem does not repeat itself. But for the time being you should avoid using the drop-down search button for Time Frame of Posting, which is currently not showing all items properly. We are working on this for future posts.

Among the many new items is a wonderful group of Eugene Atget tree and garden studies, most of which are published images. Also now available are: the finest print that I have ever seen of Anne Brigman's Heart of the Storm, perhaps her most important image; an original surrealistic collage by Marta Hoeppfner; a marvelous still life in gum dichromate by Heinrich Kuhn; several nice hard images including an artistic half-plate dag of a French group portrait including military officers; a Gertrude Kasebier platinum print; several reasonably priced and very nice Baldus prints; an early published 1865c image of New York City's Fifth Ave North of 27th St; several salt prints of Rome by Eugene Constant; lots of glass plate stereos of Europe, the Middle East and the US, particularly by Ferrier & Soulier; a great image of Rodin at the inauguration of one of his statues; a large group of important images of Jean Cocteau, Josephine Baker, Collette and other French figures from the 1920s and 30s; and many other interesting photographs. We will be putting even more images up over the next month or so, as fast as we can get them inventoried. You can find them all at http://www.iphotocentral.com/search/search.php

While you are there at the site, you might want to check out the large group of articles on photography collecting that we have up on the site at http://www.iphotocentral.com/collecting/collecting.php Remember to scroll down the page to see the entire list of articles. Or if you have missed any of the past newsletters just go to the news and archives page, which is at http://www.iphotocentral.com/news/news.php You can even search the archives by using the key word search for articles containing those subjects.
